Money Gun Prop Money: How to Choose and Use One
What a money gun actually does
A money gun is a battery-powered toy that fires a stream of prop bills in a controlled flutter — the effect you see at club nights, wedding entrances and in music videos. Ours ships loaded with 200 single-sided prop bills and takes standard refills.
How many bills per event
A single load lasts a few seconds of continuous firing. For a wedding first dance or a midnight countdown, one load per moment is plenty. For a full night on a dance floor, event companies typically budget one gun per 100 guests plus several hundred refill bills.
Single-sided bills are the point
Money-gun bills are printed one side only and at reduced scale. That keeps the cost per bill low for a consumable prop and keeps them clearly distinguishable from genuine notes, which is exactly what compliance requires.
Compliance when cash is flying
Prop bills that leave a venue in a guest’s pocket are still legal as long as they are reduced scale and clearly marked. Never mix prop bills with a real cash float, and never present them as a genuine prize. See the full legal guide and our events and weddings guide.
